Location of Telescopium-Lilienthal with visitor information: Lilienthal, Hauptstraße 1.
On March 29, 2025, we will be able to witness a partial solar eclipse in northern Germany. 22% of the sun’s disk will be covered by the moon during midday hours. The Astronomical Association of Lilienthal (AVL) will offer an event starting at 11:00 AM at the Telescopium. In addition to observing the solar eclipse, we will open our observatory and explain various astronomical topics to interested visitors. Admission is free. The team of the Telescopium and the members of the AVL look forward to your visit.
Bookings for visiting the Telescopium should be made in advance with Mr. G. Willems.
Phone: 04792-951708 or (I. Karbowski) 04298 3296.
Please understand that we require a minimum of five participants for a guided tour!
When booking a guided tour with an introductory lecture, visitors will be informed by a representative of the society in the visitor information (located next to the observatory) about the astronomical history of Lilienthal, the construction and function of the giant telescope, as well as the safety measures to be followed. In small groups, with a maximum of 9 people, visitors will then be taken to the observation gallery of the observatory to observe celestial bodies, weather permitting. Starting immediately, tours without an introductory lecture are also available!
Special appointments, announcements, and group bookings (at least 9 people) can be arranged by calling 04792-951708 or via email at: g.willems@avl-Lilienthal.de.
